Cockapoos have been crowned the UK's most culinary-indulged dogs, with owners spending 34% more than the national average on premium meals, according to new research from fresh dog food delivery brand Years.com.

The data, drawn from over a year of feeding habits across the UK, shows that Cockapoo parents are shelling out an average of £1,207 a year on meals for their furry friends — an average of £134 every four weeks. That makes them 17% more spoiled than Labradors (£1,011) and 14% more than Golden Retrievers (£1,034).

Their gourmet favourites? Steak & Kidney Mushroom Hotpot paired with indulgent extras like Harvest Rewards.

Darren Beale said:

"The statistics released today show that Cockapoo owners spend significantly more on premium food options for their pets compared to owners of other popular breeds. This trend has remained consistent over the past 12 months across all regions in the UK.

What's particularly striking is the difference in regional preferences. We've seen this pattern develop alongside the rising popularity of Cockapoos, which combine the intelligence of Poodles with the friendly nature of Cocker Spaniels, making them a breed that owners clearly feel deserves premium nutrition.

Dog owners are increasingly treating their pets as family members, choosing restaurant-quality meals rather than standard dog food. This reflects a broader shift toward premium pet nutrition that we've observed developing over several years."
