Glasgow, Friday 10th October 2025 – Today, Adonis, the French Bulldog, became the very first winner of healthy, fresh dog food brand, Butternut Box's Fetch-a-Wish promotion, and had his dream come true - playing football on a professional pitch at Glasgow City FC.

The joyful promotion launched in August '25 across a limited edition Butternut Box Lamb with Goat recipe and will continue until the end of the year, granting one wish every month.

Adonis' wish coincides with Butternut Box becoming the Official Dog Partner of Glasgow City FC. As part of the new deal, the brand has introduced perimeter advertising and a fan-facing activation, which will run during the 2025/26 season.

Glasgow City FC is Scotland's only top-flight women's football club that is proudly women-founded, owned, and led. Already home to 'doggy season tickets', the club is committed to inclusivity, which includes those on four legs. As part of the prize, Glasgow City has awarded Adonis his own season ticket.

Tom Lansdowne, Butternut Box spokesperson, said: "We are delighted to welcome Adonis to Glasgow City FC today, and to bring to life his wish of playing football on a professional pitch. When we heard his story, we knew this was the perfect way to combine his dream with our new partnership at the club.

"We chose Glasgow City FC because it is a club with purpose that has a remarkable story to tell, is already advocating for dogs, and aligns with our own values."

Adonis' pet parent, Laith, added: "Adonis has had a fabulous day. He loves playing football, and I knew it would be the best treat for him to play on the pitch and meet all the staff at the club. It's a memory I'll treasure forever. We look forward to spending more days here, making use of Adonis' season ticket."

Stef McLoughlin, Glasgow City FC spokesperson, said: "Glasgow City was founded by Laura Montgomery and Carol Anne Stewart to create a space where girls and women could thrive. From the beginning, the club has worked hard to create a welcoming, family-friendly environment - and that includes our four-legged supporters. We're delighted to be partnering with Butternut Box as we grow our 'fur following' and continue building a community that truly feels like home."
