Following the success of its Fulham flagship, WagWorks opens its second club in Islington Square this October.

After transforming the lives of dogs and their owners in South West London, WagWorks, the UK's first-of-its-kind membership club for dogs, is expanding into North London with a brand new, purpose-built site in Islington this autumn.

WagWorks opened its first club in Fulham in 2022 and quickly became a trusted hub for urban pet parents. The new 8,000 sq ft Islington club is a major step in the brand's wider growth plans and delivers a new level of convenience, expertise and holistic care to North London dog owners. Located in Islington Square, a community destination blending culture, wellness, retail and lifestyle, the club is designed to reimagine every aspect of dog care in the city.

An innovative, dog-first care model

Founded by lifelong dog lovers and city-dwellers James Netherthorpe and Rhi and Ollie Hudd-Williams, WagWorks was created to make life easier for urban dog owners and better for their dogs. Designed from the ground up with dogs' physical, mental and emotional needs at the centre, WagWorks clubs offer every aspect of canine care under one roof, backed by a team of passionate professionals and grounded in science-based practice.

WagWorks' signature offering includes structured enrichment-based daycare, preventative healthcare, on-site grooming, and in-house training and behaviour support, all led by a team of canine experts. The flexible membership model gives owners access to all services while building a strong community of like-minded dog lovers.

Ollie Hudd-Williams, Co-Founder & CEO said: "With a vibrant, dog-loving community, Islington felt like a natural next step for WagWorks. The response to our inaugural club in Fulham has been phenomenal; we've seen first-hand how much people value thoughtful and expert-led holistic care, especially in a busy city like London. North London has long been on our radar, and Islington Square is the perfect setting for our second club. We're so excited to welcome a new community of people who want the very best care for their dogs. This launch is just the beginning of our journey to reimagine dog care across London and beyond."

Purpose-built for enrichment, rest and wellness

Every aspect of the new club has been designed to support canine wellbeing, with non-slip textures, soothing colour palettes and thoughtfully zoned spaces that balance stimulation with calm and comfort.

Signature WagWorks features include:

  • Spacious, temperature-controlled indoor parks, where dogs are grouped by size and temperament
  • Designated 'Scent Dens' to stimulate scent, problem-solving and natural behaviours
  • Cosy rest stables for calm and undisturbed sleep and relaxation
  • A dedicated puppy socialisation area to support early development and confidence-building
  • A spa-inspired grooming studio offering stress-free treatments in a home-from-home environment
  • An on-site healthcare suite focused on preventative care and convenient access to expert veterinary advice
Your Dog's Second Best Friends

At WagWorks Islington, members are supported by a full-time team of passionate and highly qualified experts, including animal care specialists, behaviourists, vets and grooming professionals. Each team member is selected for their experience, deep understanding of dogs, and alignment with WagWorks' mission.

Islington will be led by experienced vet Dr Steph Day MRCVS, who said: "I'm incredibly proud to be joining a team with such a depth of experience, compassion, and shared commitment to providing proactive, personalised care. At WagWorks, dogs benefit holistically from the range of grooming, training, socialisation and healthcare in an integrated approach which truly sets it apart from a typical daycare or health setting. Together, we're creating a space where every dog is not only looked after, but genuinely understood, nurtured and can thrive."

WagWorks membership begins with an onboarding call followed by a meet & greet, where a dog and their owner are introduced to the space and team. Tailored care plans are created based on each dog and their family's needs and lifestyle, ensuring the best experience possible for every member.

WagWorks Islington will be open from 7am to 7:30pm Monday to Friday, and 10am to 6pm on Saturdays.
